What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device when you visit. They let the site remember things between page loads (your language preference, your last selected operation type) and let us see how visitors use the site so we can make it better.
This notice covers cookies and other similar local-storage technologies used by redearthone.com, redearthone.com.au and any other RedEarthOne marketing website. The actual RedEarthOne platform (separate from the marketing site) has its own cookie usage which is described to platform users at onboarding.
Legal basis
We rely on the following legal bases for setting cookies on this Site:
- Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent requirements under Article 5(3) of the EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) (and the equivalent provisions of the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR)) because they are essential for delivering the service you requested.
- Functional cookies are set under our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) — specifically, our interest in remembering your basic preferences (language, currency, operation type) to give you a coherent experience between page loads. We have assessed these interests as not overridden by your rights or freedoms; they don't track you across sites and they don't involve any third party.
- Analytics cookies are set on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and ePrivacy Directive). For visitors in GDPR jurisdictions, no analytics cookie is set until you affirmatively accept on the cookie banner. You can withdraw your consent at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, and withdrawal will take effect immediately — though it does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal (Article 7(3) GDPR).
The categories of cookies we use
We group cookies into three categories:
Strictly necessary (always on)
These cookies are essential for the Site to function. They include things like remembering which language version of the page you're viewing, which region's content to serve (.com vs .com.au), the state of your cookie-consent choice itself, and any session state needed to submit a form. The Site won't work properly without them and, as noted above, they don't require consent under EU / UK law.
Functional (legitimate interests basis)
These cookies remember preferences that improve your experience — your selected currency on the pricing page, the operation type you picked on the farmer solutions page, the language picker state. They don't track you across sites, they don't involve any third party, and they don't process special-category personal data. We set them on the basis of legitimate interests as described above; you can disable them at any time in your browser settings (the Site will still function, but you'll be re-asked for those preferences each visit).
Analytics (consent-based)
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors arrive, which pages they read and where they drop off. The data is aggregated and used to improve the site.
Analytics behaviour depends on your jurisdiction:
- EU / UK / EEA / Switzerland visitors — analytics cookies are not set until you click Accept on the cookie banner. Until then, the Google Analytics script runs in a cookieless mode under Consent Mode v2, sending only aggregate modelled signals (no identifier stored on your device).
- All other visitors — analytics cookies are set on first visit, with the option to reject at any time from the banner or the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
We have IP anonymisation enabled on Google Analytics, and we have ad-related storage permanently denied (we don't run ads).

Third-party cookies and tracking
We do not run advertising on the Site, and we don't set advertising cookies. The only third-party service that sets cookies on our site is Google Analytics (when you've consented, where consent applies).
When you watch embedded video content (e.g. a hero video served from our infrastructure), no third-party tracking cookies are set. If we ever embed content from a third-party platform (e.g. YouTube), that platform may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy; we'll update this notice when we do.
How to manage your cookies
You can change your cookie preferences at any time:
- On this site — click Cookie settings at any time (also linked in the footer). Choose Accept or Reject.
- In your browser — every modern browser lets you view, block or delete cookies. The relevant settings are usually under Privacy or Security. Be aware that blocking strictly necessary or functional cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
- Google Analytics opt-out — Google publishes a browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout that opts your browser out of Google Analytics for every site, not just this one.
Withdrawing or changing your consent
Where we set analytics cookies on the basis of your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time, free of charge:
- Click Cookie settings in the footer of any page on the Site.
- Choose Reject on the banner.
- Your choice is recorded in your browser's local storage as
cookieConsent = "rejected"and will be honoured on every subsequent page load on the same browser.
Withdrawing consent will take effect immediately for new processing. It does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before withdrawal (Article 7(3) GDPR). To clear analytics cookies that were already set before your withdrawal, clear your browser's cookies for this site.
Do Not Track signals
Most browsers can send a "Do Not Track" header with each request. We respect Do Not Track for the analytics cookies described above (we treat it as a rejection).
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as we add or remove tools that set cookies on the Site. The "Updated" date at the top of the page shows the latest revision. Material changes will be announced through the cookie banner.
